For the third time our company Anime Line Group and “Zhovten” cinema with pleasure and honor represent “Third Ukrainian Japanese Culture and Animation Festival – OTOBE 2010” – the biggest annual event, that gives you a great opportunity to get closer to the Japanese culture, cinema and animation within Ukraine.

This year you will be able to become a member and a witness of the mysterious and enigmatic federal investigation, in course of which you will face the mystery of aliens’ contacts with our civilization, and their immediate influence on the anime characters!   

When, where and how?

OTOBE 2010 will start on Friday the 1^st of October in the cinema “Zhovten”.

The opening ceremony will be in the night-club “Bingo” at 19.00 within a great j-rock concert.

We advise you to buy tickets for opening ceremony beforehand, because the club isn’t rubber, so you’ll be able to be a witness of the aliens’ contacts.

The main event for the second day of the Festival will be fantastic cosplay-show, better to say investigation marked as “Top secret”. During the night of the second day – make sure not to fall asleep while watching anime-night, because we are sure that something might happen.

The third day fully and completely devoted to the fair of authors hand-made stuff and entertainments, workshops and lectures. In order to rise the acquaintance of the civil people with the essence of the Japanese animation (“This is not a Chinese pornography!” And “Not all anime characters are big-eyed!”) and under the lead of the secret-agents there will be organized Anime Walk.

The closing ceremony will be on Sunday evening at 19.00 in the great hall of the “Zhovten” cinema (you need to see it).

During the festival, you’ll have a possibility to attend different events. Tickets to the seminars, lections, master-classes and performances will be sold in the cinema ticket office two weeks before the festival. Tickets for the magnificent cosplay-show will be in sale two months before the festival in Anime Line Group shop in Petrovka market – 92 row, place 6, also they could be bought in the internet shop anime-market.kiev.ua and on the festival site anime-festival.com.ua.

Why this topic?

Due to the strange concurrence of circumstances the OTOBE 2010 coincide with the operation of the detection and detention of the criminal alien life-form. According to this festival’s organizers were forced to collaborate with the federal bureau, so please make sure to help while the investigation’s progress. We want to remind that our Festival is devoted not only to anime, but also to all kinds of east culture manifestations. For a period of the whole festival the “Game room” will be available, the anime shops with anime stuff and manga will be working and finally – in order not to die from hunger the Sushido company will provide sushi at the democratic prices, but still very tasty!
